Our DNA
Since its creation in 1991, OiEau has built partnerships and implemented actions with its customers centred on neutrality, general interest and public action.
Today, its activities contribute to the attainment of major international environmental targets, such as the Sustainable Development Goals and the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.
OiEau’s customers and partners – local authorities, industrial companies, institutional stakeholders, development and water agencies, public and private operators, higher education and research institutions and more, in France and worldwide – seek our support in addressing the complex challenges they face. We prioritise an integrated, collaborative approach to water resource management as the best way to achieve high-impact, sustainable outcomes.
OiEau promotes ownership of these actions by all stakeholders, with a focus on long-term projects that maintain the essential link between big-picture knowledge and hands-on experience. OiEau systematically employs the latest technological and scientific innovations, including in its knowledge-sharing and training activities.
Since water management is essential to meeting environmental priorities and challenges everywhere in the world, our operational projects – whether strategic, institutional, legal or technical nature – cover a wide range of themes: from the water cycle in industry and water and sanitation services, to aquatic biodiversity, rainwater management, health risks, hydromorphology, climate change and more.
