EU4Environment - Water resources and environmental data: Regional workshop on Nature-based Solutions
As part of the EU4Environment - Water Resources and Environmental Data project, OiEau is organising a regional workshop on Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for the Eastern Partnership countries of the European Union (EU).
Nature-based solutions (NbS) have the potential to simultaneously address societal challenges and preservation of biodiversity and natural resources. As such, they are strategic measures to achieve good qualitative and quantitative status of water bodies.
In view of the elaboration and implementation of River basin management plans (RMBPs) in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, this online workshop has the objectives to illustrate how NbS can be included as relevant measures of the programmes of measures (PoM), and to enable peer-to-peer exchanges between Eastern Partner Countries.
This regional workshop is dedicated to:
- National bodies involved in the preparation and implementation of PoM,
- Sectoral stakeholders and water users representatives,
- Donors involved in the region,
- Local and regional organizations involved in NbS implementation.
- The workshop will be translated in the 5 languages of the Eastern Partner Countries. Participation assured in the limit of 300 participants.
