2024 INBO World General Assembly

The World General Assembly of International Network of Basin Organizations, the international event devoted to water management at the level of river basins throughout the world, whose Permanent Secretariat is managed by OiEau, will take place in Bordeaux, France, from 7 to 10 October 2024.

On the agenda? Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), the key to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

• Fighting water scarcity: planning quantitative water resources management at basin level
  
• Reversing the trend towards water resources degradation: IWRM at basin level to improve water quality
• Meeting the challenge of climate change adaptation: the interest of a sound basin governance
• Reconciling the natural and urban water cycles: basin-scale strategy for wastewater reuse & other non-conventional water resources for water security
• Overcoming differences: basin management in international and transboundary cooperation as a driver for peace
