World Water Forum 2024: launch of the Bali Coalition to strengthen training in the water sector

Training in the water sector is not an expense like any other: it’s a profitable and sustainable investment.

The Bali Coalition to strengthen training in the water sector will be launched on the occasion of the 10th World Water Forum (18 to 25 May in Bali, Indonesia) by the International Office for Water, as secretariat of the International Network of Water Training Centres (INWTC), and its partners, under the framework of the thematic sessions dedicated to capacity building that it is co-organising:

  • Session 6E1: Increasing financing to vocational and communities training in the water sector.
  • Session 6E2: Strengthening the capacities of institutions, professionals and stakeholders of water resources management and utilization.
  • Session 6E3: Increasing smart access to water-related educational materials.

The aim of the Coalition is to promote training as an essential tool to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and in particular access to drinking water and sanitation.

Professional training is crucial to improve the water resource management and strengthening the efficiency of water and sanitation services.

The partners in this Coalition are committed to promote and implement the following recommended actions:

Projects of capacity building for water professionals must be supported worldwide!
