OiEau mobilised for the 10th World Water Forum

Published on 03/18/24

OiEau is involved in the organisation of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF), which will take place from 18 to 25 May 2024 in Bali, Indonesia, through thematic sessions (training, water information systems, IWRM, etc.) and the high-level political segment dedicated to basins.

Against a backdrop of climate changeand growing water management issues, the 10th World Water Forum(WWF) represents a crucial platform for players in the water world to respond to these pressing challenges.

Under the theme "Water for Shared Prosperity", this global meeting will be an opportunity to recall the fundamental importance of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) to ensure sustainable and equitable use of this vital resource.

Thanks to its 4 complementary areas of expertise, OiEau plays an essential role in the organisation of many WWF sessions.

As Permanent Technical Secretariat (PTS) of the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO), it coordinates the organization of the political segment dedicated to basins, which aims to mobilize stakeholders to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by and for basins.

OiEau and INBO experts are mobilised to participate in the organisation of thematic sessions, platforms for dialogue and exchange of experience between different regions of the world, on the following subjects:

  • training ;
  • water information systems and data ;
  • integrated water resource management ;
  • the blue economy.

The 10th WWF will also be an opportunity for OiEau to present new publications and initiatives to contribute to sustainable and efficient water management.
