The research, development and implementation of operational, technological and strategic solutions for water management are crucial at a time of climate change and its worrying consequences (drought, groundwater and river pollution, water scarcity, floods and more).
Addressing these challenges requires society-wide changes not only in our habits and practices, but also in the jobs of professionals in the water, sanitation and circular economy sectors.
In accordance with its values centred on the general interest, OiEau’s long-standing mission is to “develop capacities for better water management” at all levels, in France, in Europe and worldwide.
For the past 40 years, OiEau has been working with professionals (public and private operators, managers, elected representatives, industrial companies, institutional stakeholders, water and health agencies, and more) to help their teams acquire and build knowledge and expertise for efficient and sustainable management of the small and large water cycles.
Building knowledge and skills and sharing innovative solutions lie at the heart of our approach to training and educational engineering.
As an association centred on the general interest, OiEau has developed expertise independent of any construction, operation or equipment supply contracts.
OiEau is self-financed through the proceeds of its activities, meaning it is not influenced by any supplier or commercially tied to any industry stakeholder.
OiEau’s status guarantees that its recommendations and solutions are completely objective.
