InnWater is a Horizon Europe project coordinated by OiEau, which promotes social innovation to renew water governance at multiple levels and across sectors by providing practical tools, methods and policy-oriented information based on the experience gained during the pilot phase.
OiEau is also responsible for communication, dissemination and exploitation of the project results.
InnWater is celebrating three years of research about social innovation at an event on Wednesday 4 February 2026 in Szolnok, Hungary (near Budapest). Open to the public, it will present the final results of the project and open the discussion on how innovative governance and economic approaches can support stronger water management across Europe.
This event is open to policy makers, water authorities, regulators, researchers, practitioners and civil society organisations, as well as anyone interested in decision support approaches and the link between water, energy, the environment and the economy (WEFE).
Throughout the day, the main results and lessons learned from implementation in five pilot sites will be shared. This will be followed by discussions on how the tools and methods developed within InnWater can inform decision-making, coordination and long-term action.
The event will take place in a hybrid format: the morning sessions will be available online and on-site, while the afternoon sessions will take place on-site in Szolnok only.
