OiEau trains water professionals in Switzerland

With its historic mission of "developing skills for better water management", the International Office for Water has been supporting professionals in the water, environment and circular economy sectors for 40 years in the process of improving and acquiring the knowledge and know-how of their teams.

In France, Europe and throughout the world, at every level, OiEau places the development and sharing of skills and knowledge at the heart of its practices, for the efficient and sustainable management of water resources.

This is particularly the case in Switzerland, where the International Office for Water has been contributing to the diploma courses set up by the Groupe Romand pour la Formation des Exploitants de Stations d'épuration (FES) since 2002, and by the Société Suisse de l’Industrie du Gaz et des Eaux (SVGW) since 2021.

Each year, three training courses are given by OiEau's expert trainers for the SVGW, the federation of Swiss gas and water distributors, up to and including certification of their members' skills.

As far as the FES is concerned, OiEau has been involved for more than 20 years in the preparation for the examination for the Federal Certificate "Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator".

These close collaborations with the FES and the SSIGE are the subject of multi-year partnership agreements. The agreement between OiEau and the FES has just been renewed until 2023.

Recognised as demanding, there is very strong recognition on the part of these players of the quality of the training provided:

We have been using OiEau's training courses for many years. We have always been very satisfied and therefore have full confidence in OiEau's ability to contribute to this strategic training programme for personnel operating wastewater treatment plants in Switzerland.
