Water and Health for Georgia - Better water quality for public health and the environment
The project in brief
The project aims to improve water quality in Georgia while addressing relevant environmental health issues.
Improved monitoring data will be achieved by extending the monitoring network, monitoring capacity and improved data management, as well as building the capacity of the health and environment sector to converge with EU legislation.
Activities related to the EU Water Framework Directive, the Drinking Water Directive, the Bathing Water Directive, the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and others will contribute to increasing the extent and improving the quality of monitoring data and the accessibility of information to support water policy.
At the same time, actions to promote gender equality and social inclusion will ensure that everyone is involved in the validation processes.
