LIFE Water & Climate Project - Supporting long-term local decision making for climate-resilient water management

The aim is to help local water resource management stakeholders, in particular within the framework of water development and management schemes (SAGE), to assess the climate change effects, to take them into account in their planning and to implement adaptation measures. The main actions planned:

• Develop decision-making tools for local actors to assess the vulnerabilities of the territory and plan adaptation to climate change,
• Facilitate the mobilisation of local actors through recommendations based on an analysis of practices,
• Improving access to hydro-climatic data with the provision of online data and recommendations on the collection and use of data,
• Strengthen the transfer of knowledge and exchanges between researchers and managers, in particular to assist in decision-making.

• Project coordination,
• Drafting of recommendations to encourage the mobilisation of actors and managers of communication and water observatories,
• Constitution of a collection of projects dealing with the theme "water and climate change",
• Training to disseminate the results and tools developed.
