Plastic macro-waste from sewage systems in the Loire Bretagne basin: REGARD, creating and running a network of players, exchanging experience and supporting action

The initiative of this network to incubate and support projects to combat plastic macro-waste from wastewater systems has the following 3 objectives:

• To set up and run a network of local authorities throughout the basin that are involved in, or wish to become involved in, an initiative to combat plastic macro-waste,
• To support the implementation of actions to combat plastic macro-waste,
• Produce and make available reference resources.

This initiative is in line with priorities 2 and 4 of the "Zero plastic waste at sea 2020-2025" french action plan.

• Diagnosis of the existing situation, development of a web platform and establishment of a group of players,
• Development of a methodology, data banking and implementation of an information system,
• Production of documents, communication with stakeholders and development of a training programme.
