Tribute to Pierre-Frédéric Ténière Buchot

Published on 12/01/22

The International Office for Water would like to pay tribute to the memory of Pierre Frédéric Ténière Buchot, President of the Solidarité-Eau programme and member of our association.

A graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris and a Doctor of State in Economics from Paris-Dauphine, Pierre Frédéric Ténière Buchot had a deep sense of the general interest and worked for the transmission and sharing of knowledge by teaching at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris for nearly 30 years.

With a double experience in public services and in industrial companies, expert in prospective, technological innovation, sustainable development and infrastructure financing, he has spent about fifty years of his professional life in the service of water policy.

The members of the OiEau team, who had the chance to work with him, will faithfully keep the memory of his remarkable contributions to the emergence of new, effective and sustainable water management methods.

Dear Pierre-Frédéric,

Your CV is too long to be summarised. Your expertise and experience were immense. Thank you for sharing them with us. Transmission was part of your values. We modestly try to draw inspiration from it on a daily basis.
