According to the OiEau Glossary, groundwater is the water contained in the water table (unconfined groundwater) and deep groundwater (confined groundwater). This water is mostly stored in the pores and cracks of rocks.
We depend on these waters, which play a major role in food security, job creation, socio-economic issues and poverty reduction.
