Drinking water production: a new educational pilot!
One of the assets of the OiEau Training Centre, recognised as unique in Europe, is to give learners the opportunity to practise professional gestures and to observe in real life the effect of processes, etc., thanks to our 45,000 m2 of educational platforms, installed on our sites in Limoges and La Souterraine.
A technical team from OiEau ensures their daily maintenance, and regular and substantial investments allow us to offer state-of-the-art equipment that has integrated the many innovations that the water sector and its professions have undergone over the decades.
At La Souterraine site, after years of good and loyal service, our "Drinking water production" pilot, mainly used for training in the operation of drinking water treatment plants (OiEau training references : SB030, SB001, SB004, GEMAU students, MQM licence, water treatment technician title with AHUN), and as a demonstration during our training courses, particularly in the field of drinking water plant operation (OiEau training courses references: SB038, SB025 and training courses map, SB004, GEMAU students, MQM licence, water treatment technician title with AHUN), is being renewed.
Financed from its own funds and built in stainless steel to promote its durability, it will offer :
- an optimised treatment principle, from a hydraulic point of view. Water clarification: coagulation/flocculation/lamellar settling/sand filtration or other materials,
- visual observation of the evolution of water quality in the process,
- performing numerous tasks: measuring the flow rate of reagents, adjusting reagents, monitoring water quality (turbidity, iron, manganese, organic matter, ammonium, etc.), modifying the hydraulic conditions for proper operation (contact time, flow rate).
