OiEau training course focus "Running a waste-to-energy plant"

Published on 10/23/23

For 40 years, OiEau has been supporting professionals from a wide range of backgrounds in the process of improving and acquiring the knowledge and know-how of their teams, for efficient and sustainable management of the water, environment and waste cycle.

With nearly 350 training courses in its catalogue, OiEau's 35 expert trainers train more than 5,000 people a year in the water industry and, more broadly, in the environment and waste, either face-to-face on its 45,000 m² of teaching platforms, which enable the trainees to carry out their work in real-life situations, or remotely.

Our 360° training offer is tailored to all levels (workers, technicians, managers, elected representatives) and covers 18 major themes, including Waste and the Circular Economy.

To make the best use of waste, but also to offset rising energy costs, players in the sector are looking for solutions.

Energy recovery is one of them! By recovering and recovering the energy produced by the combustion or methanisation of waste that cannot be recycled or recovered in the form of materials, energy recovery helps to reduce environmental impact.

This is the subject of one of our training courses: "Operation of Waste-to-Energy Units (WTEU)" (in french), reference SZ012, given by Julie Reynaud, Training and Studies Officer at the International Office for Water.

This course is for you if you would like to learn about waste-to-energy conversion, understand the operating principle of a waste-to-energy plant, and master the regulatory context and environmental obligations.

There are no prerequisites for attending this course, although you will need to have attended our SZ043 "Basic knowledge essential for understanding a waste-to-energy plant" course or have an equivalent level of knowledge.
