LAKE CHAD BASIN COMMISSION (LCBC) PERSPECTIVES.

The Lake Chad Basin Commission has mandate over a conventional area covering 967,000 km2 centered on the lake Chad. It's users are the five member states who own it and contribute it's budgets. The paper advocates for a review of mandates of regional organisations to enable them undertake active regional multipurpose infrastructural projects that could generate funds and higher benefits to the member states in particular and the region in general and to enhance the user participation in the financing of regional basin organisations.
